For South Palm Beach County patrons, The Palm Beach Pops has moved from Florida Atlantic University (“FAU”) and will hold its 2014/15 concert performances at the Boca Raton Community Church. The concert hall has state-of-the-art acoustics and lighting and the venue provides easy parking and access in addition to an enriching concert experience.
Ms. Laurent-Ottomane said, “The Palm Beach Pops family has been very busy over the past few months and I’m proud of what we have accomplished.
- We have engaged the very talented Lee Musiker as our Music Director and Principal Conductor for the 2014/15 season and I already have had the pleasure of working closely with him as our season’s program has taken shape.
- We have put together a fantastic line-up of talent for the season and I know each and every performance will be unique and special.
- While we have appreciated our many years performing at FAU, we have secured a new venue for the upcoming season, the Boca Raton Community Church which I believe will provide a truly pleasurable concert experience for our South County patrons.
- For the first time in six years, The Palm Beach Pops will bring its “Music & You” In-School Youth Education Program to over 500 children in a summer program in Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, and Boca Raton. This will be followed by a month-long program in four North Palm Beach county schools in the fall, serving approximately 1,200 children in the classroom.”
“Now in our 23rd year, The Palm Beach Pops is beginning a new chapter. We have the dedication of our musicians, most of whom have been with the Pops since its creation. We have the support of our patrons, our donors, sponsors, and community leaders and we are deeply appreciative of this loyalty and friendship. The 2014/15 season is exciting and, along with our President, Jon Lappin, I’m looking forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces as we move forward,” Ms. Laurent-Ottomane continued.
