The Palm Beach Pops Announces 2014/15 Season Featuring The Manhattan Transfer, Frank Sinatra, Jr. & Tribute to the Music of Marvin Hamlisch

Tickets Go On Sale to the Public on August 11, 2014

(Palm Beach Gardens, FL – May __, 2014) Charlotte Laurent-Ottomane, Executive Director of The Palm Beach Pops, today announced the upcoming season, which will kick off in December 2014 with a one-night-only, special holiday performance by the 10-time Grammy award winning vocal group, The Manhattan Transfer, who have been redefining the boundaries of vocal music in the context of jazz, pop and numerous other styles since the early 70’s. In January 2015, in song and style, Frank Sinatra Jr. pays homage to his father and the music that defines the Sinatra legend. And in March 2015, The Palm Beach Pops will pay tribute to the music of the great Marvin Hamlisch with award winning vocalists Donna McKechnie, Jodi Benson, and Doug LaBrecque who performed many times with this Academy award winning American composer and conductor.

For The Palm Beach Pops South County patrons, a new venue experience is in store at The Boca Raton Community Church, which is conveniently located in Boca Raton. The concert hall is beautiful with state of the art acoustics and lighting and the venue provides easy access and an enriching concert experience.

“As promised, and following our sold-out Tribute Concert for the late Maestro Bob Lappin, The Palm Beach Pops is continuing to present world-class concerts and expand its “Music & You” In-School Youth Education Programs. Due to the success of the Tribute Concert, The Palm Beach Pops is presenting a music education program this summer as well – the first time in six years!” declared Ms. Laurent-Ottomane.

Ms. Laurent-Ottomane continued, “We have a sensational line-up of talent for the upcoming season. We are happy to have our musical family together again. The majority of our local musicians have played with The Palm Beach Pops for the last 22 years. For the 2014/15 concert performances, we are excited to welcome them back, along with the talented Lee Musiker conducting.”
